Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, REET, which is the Spanish acronym for Ecumenical Network for Theological Education, is dedicated to reflection, training, research, and action in the fields of theology, religious sciences, and related humanistic and social studies. REET was created by the Evangelical Waldensian Church of the Río de la Plata, the Evangelical Church of the Río de la Plata, and the Evangelical Church of the Disciples of Christ.
REET seeks to make original and relevant academic contributions from its ecumenical Protestant identity, based on critical thinking that incorporates a gender perspective, a paradigm that is inclusive of all God’s children, and an intercultural approach. Additionally, REET’s contribution is enriched by its commitment to human rights and environmental care, and the fostering of understanding among different peoples and different faiths, in connection with similar efforts in the global ecumenical movement.
